Book club The Shorter the Better in Sydney, New South Wales
The Shorter the Better is a book club with a small difference: we read short stories instead of books. This allows the group to meet online once per week and discuss a story. I am the host and organizer of the club. We’ve been reading very completely different short stories. All the short stories we read are available for free somewhere on the internet.
The meetings are online only. The good thing about that is that attendants can be located anywhere in the world. We meet every Monday at 20:00 GMT. The discussions are in English, the same as the short stories. (Bear in mind that there will sometimes translations as the reading material).

If you are interested, you will need to register with the website in which this reading club is held, which is https://www.meetup.com . My club is completely free of charge: the short stories are available online for free and attendance is also free. There is no obligation to attend all meetings; you can pick and choose which ones to attend. My compromise is that there will always be at least 5 stories scheduled, so that you can decide which ones to join, if any. The meetings last around an hour and a half or longer.
The club has rules which you can read on the home page of the activity. We aim to have a club to enjoy for years and years. The Shorter the Better has been active for a little more than a year.
If you look around and decide to join, you will have to answer 5 questions to be accepted. There are all related to the organization and the aims of the club. It is nothing scary or difficult, and I don't ask about previous knowledge. I just need to know that you understand how this reading club works - it is also your opportunity to see if this activity is something in which you could be truly interested.
