Red Super Discus in Litchfield, Northern Territory
A colourful variety of the Discus fish, the Red Super Discus is highly sought after for its eye catching red colouring and unique pattern. Scientifically referred to as Symphysodon spp., these freshwater fish are indigenous to the basin of the Amazon. Because of their bright red colour, which comes from selective breeding, they are quite popular among aquarium hobbyists. Red Super Discus, which normally grow to be 6 to 8 inches in size in captivity, need steady water conditions and a balanced diet to survive.
