It is highly beneficial for the treatment of superficial skin infections in dogs. Its broad and effective anti-septic action controls hot spots and bacterial dermatitis in dogs. The shampoo formulation effectively removes dirt and grime while degreasing skin, leaving the coat softened and moisturized. It kills bacteria and other micro-organisms responsible for various skin conditions. The Pyohex medicated foam-based antiseptic shampoo controls bacterial infection effectively and improves dog skin health.

How Does it Work?

The Dermacare anti-bacterial medicated shampoo contains the active ingredient chlorhexidine glucose. This ingredient works by binding to hair and entering the hair follicle through the hair shaft to eliminate bacteria. Chlorhexidine kills bacteria by breaking their cell membranes and cell contents. The surfactant base removes unwanted lipids that are produced by bacterial lipases and helps remove skin greasiness. Although, the product does not drain skin lipids essential for preventing transepidermal water loss which leads to skin infections.
