Java Backend Developer – Melbourne

We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-performance Java applications and will have a strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the product engineering division's team members, designers, and product owners.
- Produce and deliver strong, scalable, clean, testable, high-quality code.
- In charge of low-level design, development, bug-fixing, documentation, and prompt escalation of any development's quality.
- Have in-depth conversations with the team about technical issues and product design.
Skills Required:
- Proven proficiency with Java development, Spring Boot applications using GIT, and Maven
- Practical knowledge with Spring Batch and Spring Boot
- Develop RESTful services and APIs with Spring security features.
- Practical Relational Database experience, as well as knowledge of JPA and Hibernate.
- It would be ideal to be familiar with Linux or another type of Unix.
- Strong testing, coding, and debugging abilities.
- It is desirable to be able to work in an agile setting.
- Having developed or designed projects or products connected to banking or financial services will be advantageous.
- Exposure to the design pattern for microservices architecture would be advantageous.
- Effective communication abilities
