Meet Dr Mohaghegh
Dr. Mohammad Mohaghegh MD, MPhil, FRACS, is an Australian-trained plastic, reconstructive and Aesthetic surgeon with over 20 years of surgical experience. His passion for helping patients, alongside a strong attention to detail and artistry drew him to specialising in plastic surgery. Dr Mohaghegh, cares for his patients with warmth and compassion and takes time to discuss with them all the different options before commencing any treatment. His bedside manner and humbleness provide comfort, resulting in a strong connection with all his patients.
Upon completion of his undergraduate degree in 1996, Dr. Mohaghegh continued another 22 years of rigorous training and study which resulted in his Fellowship from the Royal Australian College of Surgeons, in 2018. Dr. Mohaghegh’s training extends through many globally recognised institutions, such as; The University of Sydney where he received the Sydney Burn Foundation’s scholarship for his Master of Philosophy degree (Living Skin Project) in 2015.
During his training as a Fellow, he spent one year at Liverpool Hospital focusing on hand and facial trauma, over two years at the highly regarded Burns Unit at Concord General Hospital plus a further two years at St Vincent’s Hospital focusing on microsurgery, breast reconstruction and aesthetic surgery. Furthermore, he spent time at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne focusing on craniofacial anomalies, cleft lip and cleft palate surgery. In 2018, he engaged in further post-fellowship training in hand surgery, microsurgery, lymphedema and facial animation surgery at Macquarie University Hospital.
